Probably the man who fuelled my vision for wanting to be a performer. Sadly he's gone from us now - so I can't go out and see him do a gig this evening. The weather was so bad he asked for some brown light to make him look sun-tanned and then the marquee started leaking just where he was sitting. Remember the story of him chauffeuring Rev Gary Davis? Said he could have driven himself but he kept bumping into things! Then there was the story of the train and the mailbag ........... unrepeatable? |
