Origins/Lyrics: Swan Theme from Swan Lake

One of my favorite melodies is the "Swan theme" from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. I'm wondering what are the lyrics to this theme, and where they came from. I know, of course, that Tchaikovsky was Russian, but it's a fragment of German lyrics that comes to my mind:

Googling isn't helping me. Can somebody give me lyrics for this beautiful theme?
Thanks.

I love that theme, too, but never knew someone had put words to it. I'd like to see them and an English translation, too.
(Of course that video led me down the rabbit hole to a finale which uses the same theme. This finale uses a happy ending to the ballet.

And then I watched a 10-minute clip of the prince, courtiers, and the Black Swan ending with what are quite literally her star turns. I'll leave that for anyone interested to find on their own.)

THere are two German songs from the 1970s that are based on the Swan Lake theme:

Vicky Leandros sings Wie die wilden Schwäne zieh'n (1969, the video is from 1971)
