30 Oct 19 - 06:41 AM (#4016151) Subject: Maddy Prior on Woman's Hour today From: Steve Shaw I hate Woman's Hour but I love Maddy Prior. Listening to her, I went through in my head all the records I have with her singing and I realised that I have loads. What a lovely honey-rich voice she has. The soundtrack of my kids' childhood was My Very Favourite Nursery Rhyme Record by Tim Hart and Friends, on which she was prominent, and our grandson listens to it today. It was very nice to listen to her this morning. If you missed it, it's the first item on the programme. Unite and unite and let us all unite! |

30 Oct 19 - 12:34 PM (#4016191) Subject: RE: Maddy Prior on Woman's Hour From: John MacKenzie It was Tim Hart & Maddy Prior that I first knew her as part of. I have always loved her voice, and remember hearing them at a long defunct folk club by Teddington Station, and I was chuffed when they asked me if I would sing again, a song that I had sung earlier, at the end of the evening. |
