Last spring the background music for the season sounded like Debussy to me. This year it feels more like a Russian Army male chorus belting out; Hope for the best expect the worst we had Obama now its Robert Durst Life's always fatal From grave to cradle You can't always right the wrong Hope for the best expect the worst We had an idea but bubbles burst Life's always fatal From grave to cradle You can't always right the wrong Hope for for the best expect the worst There's executions and you're the first Life's always fatal From grave to cradle You can't always right the wrong Hope for the best expect the worst you may be blessed or devil cursed Life's always fatal From grave to cradle You can't always right the wrong hope for the best expect the worst you got the lead but you're unrehearsed Life's always fatal From grave to cradle You can't always right the wrong Hope for the best expect the worst You have a Porshe but its submersed Life's always fatal From grave to cradle You can't always right the wrong Hope for the best expect the worst The dead aroma could be corona You are just llke all the rest. |

21 Mar 20 - 09:15 PM (#4041223) Subject: RE: BS: spring has sprung early this year From: Bee-dubya-ell Yes, the Vernal Equinox occurred on March 19. But it occurred very late on March 19. Like at 11:30 PM or thereabouts. If it weren't for being on Daylight Saving Time, it wouldn't have occurred on March 19 at all, but on March 20, the usual first day of Spring for a leap year. |
14 Mar 22 - 04:25 PM (#4138483) Subject: RE: BS: spring has sprung early this year From: keberoxu March in the southern Berkshire mountains of the NE USA: if you don't care for the weather, wait a few minutes or so. Thus, the spectacle last week: the forsythia bushes were a riot of yellow blossoms, and several inches of snow fell on trees and bushes alike. The bare trees with the coating of snow were picturesque enough, but blooming forsythia bushes with piles of snow heaped on top of the yellow clusters of blossoms was a real sight to see. So much so that, outside one office building where I am staying, a staffperson hurried out the door onto the front step wearing no coat, and possibly stockinged feet, with her cellphone, in order to get a photograph of the forsythia with snow on it. And HER co-worker upstairs looked out the window, saw this lady standing out in the cold on the front step, left his office, hurried down the stairs, and said, what are you DOING, what is the MATTER with you . . . . . . he couldn't see that she just HAD to have this photograph. It was amusing. |
15 Mar 22 - 07:48 AM (#4138529) Subject: RE: BS: spring has sprung early this year From: Senoufou I've been sitting outside on The Bench every day for ages in the warm sun. I have quite a nice tan now. My bluebells are in flower, and so are my hyacinths and daffodils, primroses and violets. My lawn is thick with moss though, so I'll be treating it soon. All the birds are in mating mode. Pigeons cooing away incessantly, blackbirds flying off to their nestlings with worms in their beaks. Forsythia is in full glorious bloom. All very uplifting! |
15 Mar 22 - 09:56 AM (#4138534) Subject: RE: BS: spring has sprung early this year From: Steve Shaw The spring equinox for us is at 3.33pm on Sunday. I get cross when I read things such as "the equinox this year is March 20..." sort of thing. That would have me heading right over to "pet peeves"! :-) |
