Does anyone know the full words? Cheers. |

"The Stringbag relies on her Peggy, The modified Taurus aint sound. So the Swordfish flies off on her mission, And the Albacore stays on the ground. The Fairey Swordfish used a Bristol Pegasus engine, while it's intended replacement the Fairey Albacore used a modified Bristol engine, which was lamented as being unreliable and mechanically complicated. In reality, the engine was perfectly adequate to the task, and put out almost twice the power of the Bristol Pegasus, but the albacore was such a heavier plane, that the increased power did not help much to overcome the sluggish, heavy controls. the increased stall speed was also blamed on the engine. |
