Origins: Circle of Friends--Not The One by Ochs

I used to hear this song on our public radio station 30+ years ago, but they can't find it now. Mudcat doesn't appear to have it either, and I couldn't find it in the first several pages of a DuckDuckGo search--although I found plenty of others with the same title. Here are the lyrics, which as best I can remember are complete. Does anybody know the composer, a performer, or whether the title is really "Circle of Friends"?

I loved you once, so long ago
I thought it wouldn't matter now.
It's been a long and lonely road
That I have had to travel.
But now the heartache's in the past
And we can start again.
REFRAIN: Would you join my circle, my circle of friends?
         It's a long and winding chain that seems to have no end.
         Come with me and take my hand; we'll reach around the world.
         Would you join my circle, my circle of friends?

I know you've had a hard day;
Well, try hard to be sane.
No matter what you're thinking,
You'll never drown the pain.
You say just one more for the road;
You'll never make it home.
REFRAIN

I see you in your cradle,
A newborn baby girl.
We have another sister
To welcome to the world.
Rest gently while you can;
Your battles lie ahead.
REFRAIN

Love can take on many forms;
Some can't even be defined.
Treat it gently, with respect,
And in return, love might be kind.
And if Eros frowns on you,
Let Pathos make you strong.
REFRAIN

Can't find much, but this clarifies the title. Possibly getting in touch with the site will be of help.

"At the end of the service, Diana and Sylvia led the group in a song titled, “Circle of Friends.” Everyone in the room reached across the isles and joined hands together as we sang and swayed slowly to the music:

Would you join my circle, my circle of friends?
It’s a long and winding chain that seems to have no end
Come with me and take my hand, we’ll reach around the world
Would you join my circle, my circle of friends?"
