Nominations for the best leg in folk.

There are many good legs in folk music, but one of the most active has to be the wonderful Fred Morrison.
How does he control it?
It seems to have a mind of its own.
Your nominations please.
Roger.

And it's nice he can play pipes a little bit. (I'm worn out from listening to that.)

I met Vic a time or two, and I wouldn't have nominated his actual legs for this award! :-)

There must be plenty to choose
from among folklore and leg-
ends. Are there any songs about
Rumpelstiltskin?

I recall winning an LP of a Finnish Folk Band from a Radio Quiz , many years ago. The Band were called "CORK LEG" !

Here you go, Steve, from the appropriately titled 'Wrong Foot Forward'.

Flook on TG4

I remember seeing the band at the old Hammersmith Irish Centre some twenty years ago and asking her if she was aware that she did it. Some time she was and sometimes she wasn't.

My favourite song about a leg is this.

Terry Allen - Peggy Legg

'Legs' Larry Smith of the Bonzos would, of course, run away with the title of 'Best Tap-Dancing Drummer', and Leggy Mountbatten would be the most famous limb-associated band manager -
The Rutles.

Brilliant, Geoff. Ah, Barely Works, Bigjig, Flook...we 'ad 'em all here in Bude on numerous occasions, so Sarah's been in these parts a lot! Not only has she got the very best folk music leg, she also does the best-ever meaningful stare.

Good to see ya, by the way, Geoff!
