I've been looking for a copy of the song "Island of My Desire"; can't find it anywhere -- not even a version on YouTube.

Could anyone tell me where I could find the sheet music or a recording? Or the title of the elementary school songbook that contains it?

To Guest Jr: I know all the words to Island of My Desire, from my days at Camp Yakewi as a Campfire Girl. However, like you, I have not found ANY documentation of the song/melody ANYWHERE! Did you ever find it?

You nailed it! I love this song. I sang it 50 years ago at Bluebird camp, then again again at YMCA canoe camp. It works for every blessed lake sunset, in any country or state.It’s a Native South Pacific Islander song which pulls at everyone’s heartstrings. We all long fir home.. Thank you,

I knew the title of this song, and did a search for the lyrics, which I quickly found at http://www.alansim.com/scohtml/sco154.html That page says that this song is set to a traditional melody from North Uist.
