What ever happened to the Irish band After Hours.
I saw them twice and was blown away.

The band, more usually known as Afterhours (named after a Bothy Band LP), recorded three albums. The eponymous first was cassette only, and the latter two were for Bulmer's Celtic Music label ('Hung Up and Dry' from 1992 and 'Up to Here' two years' later).

The band's singer, Alan Burke, has enjoyed quite a successful solo career and has his own Facebook page. There's more information about him here - Alan Burke - and there's a Youtube playlist here - AB and Afterhours.

Kevin Rowsome, who played uilleann pipes on 'Hung Up and Dry', has recorded a couple of fine solo albums, 'The Rowsome Tradition' and 'Cuisle Cheol na bPíob' - Kevin Rowsome.

Tómas Lynch, the piper on 'Up to Here', was well known on the London Irish music scene and released a solo album in 1993 - The Crux of the Catalogue.

Giles Lewin was playing fiddle for them last time I saw them in 1992. He's also had quite a varied career playing Arabic as well as English, Irish and Early music. He's played with Maddy Prior for some time.

Tomás Lynch also, I believe, played with Ron Kavana. Nobody's perfect.

Thanks for all your information, even after two years still relevant.

Ron was a true force of nature, up to and including the album Alien Alert. After that not so much; I have to say that in case Geoff's listening! ;-) It's quite difficult find out much that's new about him and Tomás as they both seem to have faded from view somewhat.
