I will need lots of information which of course changes hourly. I have tickets and railpass from a cancelled trip during covid. My hope is to go to Ireland, Spain, England and back to Ireland for flight home. I have ryan air vouchers. Unsure of how much i can take on ryan air but i will be packing light. not sure of where we can enter in mid=september. i have been vaccinated. don't want to quarantine more than a couple of days on arrival. won't do my usual manic train travel this time.

At the moment you have to book in advance to visit most tourist attractions in the UK. This might cause a few logistical problems.

i probably won't go to major tourist attractions except for those in fresh air. plan to spend some time in clonmacnoise looking for ancestors.

would like info on kerry. will be spending time there looking for other ancestors.

starting to look into hostels etc..boy have prices gone up since trip was canceled. and i need info on getting from ireland into england and spain. i realize it might not be possible, so i might have to stay in ireland and/or england and burn up the miles on my railpass.

Nobody here in the UK knows what the travel rules will be in September - or even next month!. You may be able to avoid quarantine arriving from Spain, you may not. And quarantine will probably be different for a non-UK resident who cannot just 'stay at home'. 'Vaccine Passports' - really just paper on on-phone certificates - exist and are being discussed with the EU (for UK & EU approved vaccines) but not yet agreed.

France has just imposed more restrictions on visitors from the UK so the rules can and do change weekly.

A lot of UK sessions seem to be via Zoom at the moment.

Festivals such as Sidmouth, Whitby, Warwick and Bromyard have concerts planned, and I imagine there will be open air sessions in each town. Only Warwick & Whitby are on the railway. The others are a bus ride away, and hotels/B&B/etc will be fully booked usually. Indeed there was a Mudcat thread asking for a Whitby w/e domicile going spare.

Good luck with your trip. As advised, best to check with official sources with regards to travel restrictions. All subject to change of course

Yes, best to keep checking those websites Raindog has given, as information will be updated regularly with each new change. Things are supposed to get easier in the UK after June 21st, but that is now in some doubt as the “Indian variant” of COVID is spreading.
