My brother-in-law and friend of 50 years passed away some months ago.

He was a fine banjo player, mentioned in many other mudcat threads, but also a club organiser, graphic designer on early Topic LPs and a catalyst for many a good session especially in southeast England.

He researched and produced a CD of old recordings of traditional musicians in SArk, C.I.- a labour of love for him, and available on the island or from me.

I've expanded on all this in the current issue 142 of 'Living Tradition' and if you want to know more about a talented and modest man with a huge influence on our music, get hold of a copy.

It's a fine, well written piece, Jim.

I always enjoyed Webbs Wonders and their unusual take on traditional music- trailblazers in revival English music & IMHO never bettered- Ken Lees was an important part of it   RIP
