BBC Folk Show Radio 2 21:00 5 April 2023 The Young'uns sing new songs

This week, Teesside lads The Young'uns perform songs from their latest album, Tiny Notes. The album returns to the band's rich seam of songs about real people. In a similar vein, they recently took part in Radio 2's 21st Century Folk, singing Doctor Boro: their powerful song about Middlesbrough GP Ifti Lone.

One of the best contemporary folk albums I've heard in recent years. The Young'uns are absolute masters at blending modern issues with traditional song, and the every song on the album really moved me. Can't reccomend this album enough
