I saw the Moody Blues, with Denny fronting the band, at Scunthorpe Baths Hall on 30th April, 1966. They were sensational, the loudest band I’d heard at that time, and musically excellent, but they were very different to the band they became in the Hayward/Lodge era. They did ‘Go Now’ twice - once in each set. Denny Laine was a great front-man, as good as any I’d seen. RIP Denny. ’Go Now’ - Denny Laine (1977) |
