Rwanda appears to be an African success story.
The RWANDA prime minster is behaving in a humanitarian manner?
What happens to migrants in Rwanda?
Those who are not granted refugee status or humanitarian protection, will instead be granted permanent residence so that they are able to stay and integrate into Rwandan society. All individuals relocated to Rwanda will be treated in the same way regardless of the decision of their asylum claim.25 Apr 2024.
Is Rwanda a safe place for refugees?
On 15 November 2023, the UK Supreme Court (UKSC) unanimously found the government's intended policy of sending asylum seekers to Rwanda is unlawful. The UKSC did not find the policy of removing asylum-seekers to a third country unlawful, only that Rwanda is not currently a safe country to do so.17 Apr 2024

The Supreme Court's decision was based on the possibility of 'refoulment' (return to country of origin). Here
As you say, RWANDA has now stated that Those who are not granted refugee status or humanitarian protection, will instead be granted permanent residence so that they are able to stay and integrate into Rwandan society. All individuals relocated to Rwanda will be treated in the same way regardless of the decision of their asylum claim.25 Apr 2024.
As such, the risk of refoulment has gone, so the UK government can go ahead.

It just struck me that it would have been cheaper just to give each migrant a few thousand pounds in view of the costs incurred so far!
