"Maid of No Trades"..... It was to the same melody and I recall Janet Russell singing it in the old days. I've not been able to find it by "googling" but I'm sure it's well enough known. I'd be interested in finding out a bit more. Janet, of course, has written some good songs over the years but this was very early on. So, I'm not sure. It's something like Peggy Seeger might have composed but I don't know. |

I'd rather not bother her on a private FB site though and I don't have an official presence on Face Book myself in any case. She doesn't seem to have an up to date website as such but it's not a vital enquiry, of course. The song just came back to mind when I saw the other thread. |
