"I just wanted to let everyone know that husband, Neil Devore a long time member of Mudcat passed away 3/11/2025. He was an awesome man and will be missed eternally. He truly loved this group.

Neil loved music. He loved the conversation and the sharing this page gave him over the years. He made several friendships over his years here. He shared his poetry and songs he wrote with like-minded individuals. I will miss him terribly but I know his spirit will live on. Ty to this community for all the support provided to him over the years with his various health issues he has faced. Hug your loved ones extra tight.

Neil E. Devore

November 24, 1957 — March 11, 2025


Neil E. Devore, 67, of Dalton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 24, 1957, in Canton, Ohio, Neil was the son of the late Carl and Wilma (Gempler) Devore.

A proud graduate of Canton McKinley High School, Neil dedicated his career as a systems operator for Ameridial, Inc., where he was known for his strong work ethic and kindness. Beyond his profession, he was a devoted husband, father, and friend who found joy in life’s simple moments and the people he loved. He was an avid watcher of Jeopardy, also loved reading and history.

Neil is preceded in death by his parents and brother David, but his memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Christina Devore; sons, Damian Blankenship, Devon (Shawnee) Blankenship; grandchildren, Lucas, Audrey, Owen, Chloe, Niall; dogs, Bagel, Emma, Bowie and a Gary.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., there will be a memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m.

Neil’s warmth, kindness, and quiet strength will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Thanks Greg. I certainly remember Neil, he was a good guy. Condolence to all his love ones, especially his family.

Neil and Chris were a great support to me when a close friend died about 15 years ago. Just thanks for being such wonderful people.
