There are many verses to the song, some of htem added after the fact, but here are the ones I use: While I was singing, somebody touched me (3X) It must have been the hand of our Lord. While I was praying, somebody toucned me (3X It must have been the hand of our Lord. While I was preaching, somebody touched me (3X) It must have been the hand of our Lord. While I was sleeping, somebody touched me (3X) It must have been the hand of our Lord. As I said, many verses have been added over the years, but these will suffice. This song is best sung as a call-and-response one, with the lead singing the "While I was..." and everyone doing the "Somebody touched me" and everyone singing the last line. Works great for us in our nursing home appearances. Enjoy! |
