07 Mar 00 - 11:44 AM (#191173) Subject: Irish Accordion Player - 97 Years Old From: Liam's Brother My friend, Bob Conroy, called me yesterday to tell me about John "The Yank" Harringon, a 97-year old Irish-American accordion player brought up in Montana and the Beara Penninsula of Co. Cork. His biography is well worth reading - a very interesting story, very well written. You can find it at http://fp1.in-tch.com/www.johntheyank.org/bio.htm Does anyone remember Michael Kennedy, an older Irish-American accordion player who lived in Cincinnati in the 1970s. Malcolm Dalgliesh and Grey Larsen produced an LP for him. I met him when I was touring with The Flying Cloud. I recall we did a gig with him.
All the best,
