I finally got to hear Dick Greenhaus! WOW!!! Thanks, Dick!

Everyone was wonderful and great to hear you all.

I sang:

Not Alone by Willson & Mckee (I'll post it, if they give me permission)

I Know Where I Am Going (trad)

And I read the long poem, "Kentucky Belle" by Constance Fenimore Woolson. I will post it when I've had a chance to put in all of those line breaks! Thanks for indulging me.:->

Represented were: Wales, Nova Scotia, Australia, Hawaii, and States in between. This is such a wonderful, mind-boggling technology which brings us all together. Just incredible! Thanks, all!

I tuned in last night and heard some great stuff. These gall durned newfangled lectrisickle contraptions are just downright amazin! I'd love to join in, any tricks I should know about? Any one kind of mic work better than another, what about two mics,{My daughter plays along with me}. I'd appreciate any hints seeing as how I'm still riding this thing with the training wheels on it. Probably won't happen for me though, until after I get back from Merlefest.

Thanks Ron.

Was able to listen for awhile last night and as usual you all were great. Stayed later than I should have, again. Especially loved the autoharp playing. Don't know if my mic works yet or not didn't want to interrupt the playing and singing. I truly enjoy Hearme!!

Because of a family dinner, I couldn't get there until about an hour a half late, but stayed until about 1:00 EDT, when fatigue was getting to me.

It seems I say every week, (but I always mean it) "This was the best yet!"

I sang, in approximate order:
Billy Barlow (guitar)
Marineh Na Mareh (phonetic) (Czech?) unaccompanied
Hej, Tamz Guri, (Polish Christmas song) guitar
Lutefisk, Oh Lutefisk guitar
If You Want to Get To Heaven talking blues/banjo
A pair of Scandihoovian-accent songs from Minnesota:
...In De Vinter guitar
...It's Gonna Be A Long, Hard Vinter guitar
Three Jolly Rogues of Lynn guitar

And now back to my repertory lists and record stacks to see what I can sing next time without unduly repeating myself!

Dulci and Dharmabum, if you want to check out your mics and levels, you can go into HearMe anytime, click on Audio Configuration and test them out. You can set the levels, as you can hear yourself in that mode. Oh, and Dulci? Don't be shy! Jump right in, everyone is welcome to participate!

Some of us have cheapo Radio Shack mics, others more fancy-dancy ones. Don't know about two mics. Jon has a link to the HearMe FAQ page on there, too, maybe you could find out there.

and when we say "jump right in" - we do mean it...*grin* sometimes text box is a good help to "grab" the next spot....or help set up a rotation....
