If any New England Mudcatters are undecided about how to spend next Saturday (May 13th), you might be interested to hear that Bob Conroy and I will be in both Massachusets and New Hamphire. Between 11 and 4 PM, we'll be at the New Bedford Whaling Museum with John Roberts & Tony Barrand and Michael Cooney doing a program of mostly maritime music. From 7:30 PM, we'll be at the Ossian USA Loft in Loudon, New Hampshire with a program of songs from Ireland as well as Irish songs made in Australia, Canada and the United States. Please be sure to say 'hello' if you come to either venue.

All the best,
Dan

Dan & Bob are not only great together, they're a pair that beats a full house (I don't think I'm letting on to anything new here) & an extra treat (if you're going to the New Hampshire conceert) is where they're playing. It's the upstairs of a renovated barn (this is near to the New England outback), there's always snacks & stuff out on the table & drink (soft & hard) in the fridge, you don't pay you donate. During intermission they'll usually pull 1 or 2 people up for a song before getting on again. When it's over, all are welcomed over to the main house, no telling what might be on the table (I think they must believe you better eat if you're at their house & gonna sing), I've run into a turkey once another time a ham & then their (the lovely couple, Mary Lou & Charlie) gonna see that you get someting to wash it down with before the singing gets started. It's gotta be the most relaxed, warm & welcoming venue I've ever been to. Hopefully I can make it & convince my wife to come up, it'll be nice to see some of the folks from here too. Barry

Oh, Dan, it's a feast!!! -- Wish it weren't so far. I've worn myself out doing college visits for my graduating high schooler, no hope of managing another long trip next weekend even for this -- but have a great time, it sounds like magic. - Rita Ferrara

We look forward to seeing those of you who can be there and, if you cannot, there should be a next time.

All the best,
Dan
