02 Aug 00 - 05:40 AM (#270148) Subject: Martin 15S guitars From: GUEST,murray@mpce.mq.edu.au This is related to my posting on the little Seagull. I saw an all mahogany Martin 000-15S in a shop today. It is a real beauty. Unlike the 15 without the "S", this one had a 1 3/4 in. nutwidth. (I guess the "S" stands for "slotted") since it has a slotted headstock. The question is, is there a 00-15S? I tend to like the OO size. I have tried an 00-15 and the nutwidth is 1 11/16 in. Just a bit too narrow. It has a solid headstock supporting my theory about what the "S" stands for. Murray |

By the looks of things, the S-model (yes, it stands for slothead) does not come in 00 size. Martin has been introducing guitar models at a furiously fast rate however so, if the new 000-15S catches on, a 00-15S could follow.
