During the 1880's here in Ft Worth some cowboys had a disagreement with someone so they hung him. Several days later the dead man was cut down and buried by his friends. The cowboys dug the dead man up and hung him again. So if anyone wants to round up a posse to after the varmint that did this count me in. No one in his right mind could have taken such a thing. But a thing it was. It's Pete who's the communicator, not the machine he uses. Bob Copper met Pete recently. Bob says that while Pete's not as physically vigorous as he once was, his fire and his need to connect and communicate are intact. The banjo was built by Seeger as a prototype which was later produced and sold by the Vega company. It has the following words written around the head of the instrument: "ThisMachine Surrounds Hatred and Forces it to Surrender". Perhaps everyone can pass this information on to their local music stores and pawnshops. Hopefully someone either return it or be found trying to sell it. |
