I would really appreciate knowing who wrote the following lyrics, not to mention finding a complete listing, and music or chords. Many thanks!

She danced through the streets With the guns all around her Barefoot and torn Like a rag doll in the rain And she sang like a child Toora-loor toora-laddie Oh how can I ever Be simple again

Rocket Ron, the song is by Richard Thompson, called (not surprisingly) "How Can I Ever Be Simple Again". One web site that contains lots of RT lyrics is:
Henry the Human Fly Caught In the Web
Have fun!

P.S. It's on the album "Daring Adventures".

Someone -- I believe it's Christine McCollister or some name like that -- does an incredible heart-wrenching wrist-slashing cover of this, on the kinda hard-to-find Richart T tribute album called "The World Is A Wonderful Place." I love Richard.....oh Richard, Richard, Richard. That's an amazing song.

Many thanks to those who answered my query. And I'll have to find that Christine McCollister cover. It sounds like a real winner. There is also a Battlefield Band cover with a really haunting pipe line.

Thanks again
