It was written by Cape Bretoner, Allister MacGillivray. I can't figure out what the lyrics are for the 3rd line of the second verse. The verse goes.... It's not in the Nova Scotia songbook, Cape breton Songbook, or Song for the Mira songbook all by Allister MacGillivray.
