Goodnight!

I'm sure Meebo will be thrilled.

1) He has recently acquired a practice chanter and BAGPIPES RULE!!!

2) All music is categorized as the greatest thing since sliced bread and perforated toilet paper by Meebo, so even if she was playing a quarter tone flat on "diddle My Fiddle" he'd LOVE IT!!! Undoubtedly one of his favorite songs.........

3) Meeting any real woman in cyberspace is great to Meebo. Meeting one in the real world on the other hand.........Well, that suggestion is generally prefaced with either A)Shut up Spaw!...or B)You don't understand.

4) This will be especially exciting to the lad as this girl plays bagpipes which are closely related to his inflato-girlfriend, "Anatomical Annie."

I am sorry to have stepped into a BS thread. It LOOKED like music, despite the label.

I figured Susana Seivane needed a thread of her own, so here it is, Susana Seivane, piper-Listen up!

Thanks Roger, for the push in the right direction.

Jon, more pictures over there, too! . . . and thanks for the translation. It was a LOT better than struggling through babelfish, though that IS better than nothing.

Micca, your ears and knowledge are a whole lot better than mine ~~ Galician bagpipes exactly.

Spaw, you're welcome. Head right on over there, whydontcha?

Dave and sophocleese, we agree, for sure.

As to my prior comment, I don't usually read such, so I have absolutely no idea what is going on among you guys, and probably don't want to know, so you don't need to explain! I don't mean to be rude with that remark.

Thanks again, the fine music and good friends we find here make it all worthwhile.

Bagpipes do RULE! I love bagpipes and all instruments with a drone. I saw this group called Montcorbier (trio from Quebec) and their leader plays the hurdy-gurdy, among other ancient instruments. It is the neatest looking instrument I've ever seen, and it sounds a bit like bagpipes, combined with keyboard, combined with violin. If you EVER

Actually,Praise,we wouldn't tease him if we didn't like him.Mbo does, indeed,RULE, as anyone who has heard his tape can testify.Catspaw only tells him to go out on campus, sit under a tree and play his guitar as a method of seducing young co-eds because that's what Catspaw, having no class, would do in the same situation.Mbo LOVES music in all its forms, and I hope nobody ever takes that away from him.

LEJ (Mbo fan)

PS,now I'm going back to teasing him.

I really love it - heard it first a while back then forgot about it again until now
So when I heard it again I remembered you had mentioned you had a chanter and thought you might like the music

Class or no, Spaw has the common sense to know that there at least 30 attractive, friendly, and starved for company ladies out on the campus, at any given time, hoping for an Mbo to happen along. Nothing grasping or dirty about it - they would just love some male company and Mbo might find them better company than Spaw. Who knows? One of them may even play the bagpipes. Think of what he and we are missing.

The urbane Jeremy Paxman even had a clip of this on University Challege, on UK TV last night.

The family all guffawed when I got the Northumbrian pipes mixed up with the Irish, but they soon shut up when I correctly declared the last sound clip to be Galician pipes.

So thanks, Rog!!
