10 Oct 00 - 06:48 PM (#315807) Subject: FSGW Getaway: carpooling? From: Dani Anyone ready to talk about carpooling? I'm driving from mid-NC early Friday morning, and would be happy to bring along any stragglers. Post or PM me! Dani |
10 Oct 00 - 10:06 PM (#315935) Subject: RE: FSGW Getaway: carpooling? From: bbelle Dani ... I'm so glad to know you are going!!! I had heard you weren't and haven't been able to get a message to you. That is why I decided to fly, instead of drive. Dammit all to hell!!! folk1234 is picking me up at BWI (I arrive Friday at 9:30 AM) and we will do some last minute running around, before heading up to the camp. Don't know when you are planning to head south, but I could sure use a ride back to BWI on Monday. My plane leaves at 4:30 PM and I can get there way early if need be. Let me know. But, mostly, I'm just glad I'll be seeing you in a few days. What a homecoming this will be for many of us. moonjen |

11 Oct 00 - 09:31 AM (#316189) Subject: RE: FSGW Getaway: carpooling? From: Jeri Barry, I have to be back Sun night, otherwise I would have hit you up again. That WAS fun last year - especially singing all the way down. I think Kendall has mentioned wanting to share a ride. |
11 Oct 00 - 11:17 PM (#316841) Subject: RE: FSGW Getaway: carpooling? From: Dani I'm so sorry - that would have been fun! My membership here seems to kind of ebb and flow. Though usually around, sometimes I'm a member and sometimes I'm not. Wonder why? I don't mess around with my cookies anymore (just pickier about where I go and what I answer), so I don't know why that should be. Anyway, if anyone else wants to think about riding, let me know! Post here if I'm not getting/responding to messages. But now you got me thinking about flying....... are there rates worth looking into? Assuming I'm driving, do I need to go by BWI? If so, I'll do whatever taxiing I can. Dani |
12 Oct 00 - 12:19 AM (#316896) Subject: RE: FSGW Getaway: carpooling? From: bbelle Dani ... I went on Priceline and got a flight from Jacksonville (FL) to BWI for $145, otherwise, it's a two-day drive for me. Check it out. I leave Jax at 6 AM and arrive BWI at 9:30 AM ... folk1234 is picking me up, since he will be in the area. I'm sure there's room for one more! Let me know. jenny |
12 Oct 00 - 09:18 AM (#317127) Subject: RE: FSGW Getaway: carpooling? From: Charlie Baum Dani- the cheapest flights are probably those into BWI. Also check out PHL (Philadelphia). Southwest Airlines usually has cheap flights into BWI. If you're driving North past Washington, DC, I-95 passes within 3 miles of the BWI terminal; the Baltimore-Washington Parkway within 3/4 mile. It's a very short detour down I-195 from either. --Charlie Baum |
