Hi all
Is anyone going to bedworth folk festival on weekend of 25th Nov?
It looks like it should be really good, and it would be great to meet up with any other 'cat people there...

Bedworth

And I forgot to mention that it has indoor camping for a very small fee.

I'm hoping to get up there with some of the Sidmouth/Towersey crowd, but won't know for sure until the end of the week.

I'll be there doing some work with my partner Benny Graham as well as some MCing. Bedworth is always a good celebration and sets Christmas up nicely. There is a singaround on Friday night and I will be hosting the final fling club session at The White Swan on Sunday night. Hope to meet many mudcatters there.

Regards Jeff

Hi Gervase I hope to see you there at some point, possibly on Friday but more likely on Saturday. I've not been to Bedworth before. Where will the Sidmouth crowd be? I see someone has said there is good singing at the White Swan but I am not clear whether that is a fringe venue and free, or is it a clubroom for ticket holders only? Wassail! Alan

It's my first time there, so I'm not too sure of the set-up, but Chris Gorniak, Derek and Mary and a number of the other Middle Bar regulars will be at the festival, so I'll just follow my ears to where the singing's at...

the posting from Jeff mentioning his partner Benny Graham gives me the chance to say again my opinion that Benny is the most unrecognised, underrated, singer in the UK, and has been so for many years. He has a great voice and he can handle any tempo or mood of song with ease. He is not flashy but sings like a true folksinger, expressing the melody clearly and giving the words their full worth, qualities that many a more publicised singer lacks.Go to Bedworth and hear for yourself. Then put your opinion on Mudcat. BTW-Jeff's not bad either.
