PalTalk Concert 16th November

On balance, I have decided to do my MudCat Internet Concert on PalTalk on Thursday. HearMe is flaky, and someone's got to make a positive move. I'm sorry if anyone is dislanfranchised thereby, and if no-one comes, it will be all my own fault!

Would an advance playlist be of any interest?

I also do requests!

I'd request "I Did It My Way" but you already did it! *BG*

I'll be tuning in. I wonder what I should wear.

Thank you, Lanfranc, for making the logical decision. I was going to post something similar tonight. I see no other choice, unless we are prepared to abandon the concerts altogether, which I think would really be too bad.

Great! I finally got PalTalk to load, after several abortive attempts, so I'm anxious to try it out.

I do hope dress isn't formal as I last saw my evening gown in 1958 after I packed it in my stereo to protect the turntable whilst returning from college. My mother never recovered, neither did the dress, but the stereo worked wonderfully for many years.

Will it be at 9ish (Mudcat time) as usual?

Giac, Lanfrancs concert will start at 6:00 EST, in order to give the Euro community better access to it.

OK - dress informal, but if you have a MudCat T-shirt you could wear that for solidarity's sake! Have a beer or two handy to lubricate the odd chorus.

I once heard Peter Bellamy do a storming version of "My Way". Being Peter, he had "personalised" it to the point that he was halfway through the second verse before most of the audience realised what he was up to! His version of "Amazing Grace" was pretty amazing, too.

Will have to miss it, because we're travelling north that night to the Danville, VT, game supper. We sing for the people waiting their seating and get our supper for nothing.

It's a long trip for no cash, but it's the only time all year I get to eat Moose Pie (no turd, though).

Peter.

I've just had a Paltalk message flash up that it's going to be down for 10 minutes for a maintenance upgrade. Hope this isn't a regular occurrence.
