I changed shorty to loki and got a mudcat header and the message Connection Error (shorty, ragtime and www all give a flat "Connection Refused"). But it also has a Super Search box - I clicked Go and that brought up both the DT and the forum. It's a bloody long-winded way to go about it, but with a bit of persistence you can still find things. They think they'll get "shitty" and instead they get "slippy" - and then later maybe you might use "shitty" which would by then be a surprise, precisely because it hadn't been used before. In a way the effect is one of reimposing an eroded taboo, and then breaking it.
Two for the price of one.
How'd that for a retriospective rationale? |

"Cockles & Mussels is a repeated line in the refrain, so people often think it is the name of the song. Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, & Kilkenny are all Counties, AND Cities. In England, they have a similar habit, but they tend to distinguish the City from the County by adding "Shire" to the County name: thus you have Leicester (the City) & Leicestershire (the county). Of Course, while you still have York (The city) Yorkshire is now adminintered as several counties. This is done to confuse visitors :o) Eddie
