If it's French, maybe the first word is "L'eau" (water) which sounds like "lo".

Hi Greg,

Do you have any more info on this tune? Is it a tune for a particular instrument, where did you hear it, any background information, any clues at all to point us in the right direction?

HELEN: I HEARD THIS FRENCH WALTZ PLAYED BY SOME MORRIS DANCE GROUPS WHO PLAY AT THE RENNAISSANCE PLEASURE FAIRE IN MARIN COUNTY CALIFORNIA (USA).. ONE FIDDLER TOLD ME IT WAS CALLED 123 (FRENCH: AUS DOIS TROIS ANOTHER TOLD ME IT WAS CALLED THE PLANTER (LE PLANET)
