But Simple stretching exercises can make a drastic difference. I had some physical therapy which helped. But I think the massage therapy is the most effective corse I have experienced. Good luck |

Other than warm washcloths wrapped around my wrist (how's that for alliteration?) I don't have any homeopathic remedies to offer. Ben-Gay is good but smelly. |

I suffered with increasing numbness in both hands and was told it was of arthritic origin. Luckily, after eight years I came across a neurologist with sense. Have the operation when the permanent numbness becomes intrusive. It is quick, local anaesthetic, painless, heals rapidly and is heavenly afterwards. I went out one morning to touch a frosted window pane for the sheer joy of feeling it melt beneath warm skin for the first time in years. |

I don't know if this works but I have a acquaintance who wraps a fresh eel skin round his wrists, something in the oil apparently helps ease the condition. This plus exercise seems to work for a while . Ben Gay also helps, just don't get it mixed up with your Preparation H. |

The surgery worked like a charm - I had it under local anaesthetic so I could keep an eye on things. No recurrence even after 8 years! |

An operation was performed on my right wrist and while I was waiting for that one to heal the left wrist got better without the surgery. Apparently the long period of rest was also quite effective. I still have some problems, however as soon as I feel any numbness I change what I'm doing (ex. play a different instrument). There is a simple little exercise that seems to give some temporary relief. Hold the arm out with the palm up ~ then rotate it to palm down. Repeat this procedure around ten times. Another that also gives temporary relief is to take the palm of one hand and push the fingers of the other hand back until resistance is felt. There are special gloves for activities such as bike riding that are padded in such a way that reduces pressure on the nerve that causes cps. Cap't Bob |

Was it by EMG? If not, I would suggest that you get one, since this really is a good diagnostic tool. Then, if this confirms CTS, then go to a good hand surgeon. Neurosurgeon? Not really. Orthopedic surgeon? No. General surgeon? No. Hand surgeon. Usually is an orthopod but specializes in hands. Get someone who knows of Harold Kleinert. That will be the ticket. And then, get the surgery. No amount of homeopathic stuff or PT is going to stop the compression on the median nerve by the transverse carpal ligament. A knife will. It is a simple procedure, and, in the right hands (pardon the pun), the surgery works miracles. Good luck to you. |
