Somebody help, please!I invited people to my 'at home' tonight, and I'm sure you're all eager and willing- but I can't open up the Mudcat room from my new computer. It's cold hanging around outside!!

Have a look for the mudcat song circle.

Press "groups" (top right), double click on music, and see if youy can find "mudcat song circle"

New room (because I forgot to enable the sound in the first one)

This one's called "the mudcat audio room"

In fact, exit the song circle, or you will not be allowed to enter the audio room

IF ANYONE WANTS TO USE THIS ROOM, TAKE YOUR OPPORTUNITY WHILE IT LASTS, COS I HAVE TO GO, AND I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE NOREEN ON HER OWN.

Ok: This is the first time I visited Paltalk for some time (probably since about 4 months ago). Took me awhile to find it since I didn't have the show adult box clicked and it is R rated.

I have two questions:

1. Is there a thread for all of the Mudcat to Paltalk name conversions? I'm JAB here and BumdittyBum there (JAB was taken).

2. Does anyone use the Hearme Song Circle Room anymore? Does it even work?

JAB

P.S. Damn. It was fun and I may be addicted again.

Interestly, Aine's Hearme room still exists, and seems to work fine.

For those that have used Paltalk alot. What are the advantages/disadvantages? or has this already been covered elsewhere?

JAB

OK, I'm in, but there are no mudcat music rooms, so I assume I missed you all! Sorry...

Mrzy, you have to check to show adult rooms. Mudcat is rated R primarily because the Brits sing so many songs about cocks (fowl) Very *BG*

What singing tonight - Margaret, Musicman, someone called lovethesky and aggiebethie. Get over there right now if you can.

I don't think there is any adjective that could do the circle justice. Just check it out.

Sorry Noreen, I was all a fluster!

Thanks Noreen for the at home, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit, even if ***Shock Horror*** I sang mostly serious ( non-jokey, non-parody!!!) songs...there was some LOVELY singing... and for JAB the sound quality from Paltalk IMHO is vastly superior to Hearme...

Enjoyed the few mins I had - Specialy hearing Dave the AM for the first time - good voice and songs, Dave. Thanks for Daisy, Micca. Must get my mic. sorted!

Anyone up for singing verses of something like "The white cockup" once I get up and running - Each member makes a verse up (or knows one already) and holds up their hand (virtualy that is!) when ready to sing it. Needs to go swiftly from one to t'other to keep the flow. Would it work in Paltalk?

Cheers

Thanks all, it was lovely having such a large party in my little cottage- it really sounded that you were all here.

Just need to get my mic sorted. Apparently even embedding it in a bath sponge didn't get rid of the extraneous whistle...

And thank you, Nathan for the recitation. That was very special.

Don't worry, Lox- thanks for trying. I forgot to find out why I couldn't open the room. I know the code number (unless it's been changed?) and selecting 'squiggle' used to allow me in. Do I have to get extra permission from Jon??

Dave tG, that would be interesting to try. When shall we do it again?
