Invitation: Mrrzy's Midlife Crisis

Well, things are very strange... I've just become adjunct faculty at the local community college, and I'll be hitting a big birthday (that ends in "0" - no points for knowing the first digit(s)!) in about 5 weeks - BIG party at my sister's in Fairfax, VA - Who can come with this much notice? It will be Saturday, March 10th, evening and next morning. Send me a PM and I'll get you on the invite list...

For those of you still worried about me, don't, I'm fine, in large part thanks to y'all.

For the rest of you... have your own crisis and you'll find out what I mean (BG)!

Glad things are reasonably okay for you,Mrrzy, wish I could make that party but it's a bit of an embuggerance from England. Do you realise that you are sounding all respectable now? Something should be done to nip that in the bud, PDQ!

I would love to visit Fairfax, Virginia, but I have no travel budget right now. Here's hoping it's a very happy day, and wishing you many happy years!

When I had a crisis like that, I had to put on my old, torn, dirty housedress and get under the covers and shake a bit before I'd come out again and accept what life offer as we get older and wiser and better in every way.

Now if only I could be cured of Run On Sentence Syndrome.

Susan: I found myself unable to cure run-on sentence syndrome, so I had to become a lawyer. Then it became an asset.

Mrrzy: I got one of "those" birthdays (i. e. with a zero for the second digit) coming this October. Did you really have to remind me?

Peter.

Midchuck - Celebrate! Have a BIG party!

(Sorry I was gone for so long, 2 sick kids and all - a total of 14 days out of the last 15 somebody had over 102* fever - they took turns, at least, but still!)

Alan C, I need your street address in WVA, please. PM, OK?

OK, I'm older now, and it was a GREAT party, sorry none of you could come (not even AllanC, who's still my twins' uncle to me!)- but there were people there who'd known me anywhere from 12 to 30 years, not counting the blood relatives... great food, etc. Just refreshing FYI.

Happy Birthday. Midlife crisis, eh? I think I'm in the thick of one. It's a doozy. But I have a feeling I'll be a better person for it when I finally plow through. Hang in there. S.

Hey Mrrzy, I don't think I've got a midlife crisis but I've been driving a midlife Chrysler for the last few years. I've even been in a band by the same name (Midlife Chrysler) and one of our occasional members wrote a song by the same name. One other occasional member of that band recently renamed one of his CD projects Midlife Crysler as well. He even usd a promo photo we took in my midlife Chrysler for his cover shot, though he had it digitally altered by someone and made my car look like a plane. I am however working on a tune about my midlife Chrysler called the '65 Newport Ragtop Blues. I wish you luck on your continued crisis and hope to see you when you visit the great NW.

Dear Mrrzy -

Another 39th birthday. All the best, and congratulations on the college appointment! As you know, I'm too far from VA, but I'll be there in spirit.
