you clumsy idjits all fergot that when threads get too large SOME of us can't read your pithy little sayings? Not that any of them are worth reading, but hey, it beats the things 'spaw finds to amuse himself!

well, then! I'll just REpost my last post!!!!

I don't 'think' I have been seriously flamed...but I was sort of cigarette-lightered by mousethief in another thread(but since it doesn't exist, I can't send you there)...seems I *gasp* "ruin everything by being over pedantic"

And speaking of Mario......Who the hell would want to??? Talk about a pain in the ass...........The guy volunteers to get tunes and the next thing you know Mr. Volunteer is whining like a dog with one caught crosswise!!! Completely pathetic. The fact that he has worked his ass off has no bearing on any of this because the lad has plenty of ass!! Typical Dago.

Yeah, somebody ought to flame that dude.

Some "roll" model ya got there, Bill...didja see what happened the last time he and the one with the big head who thinks I think of him as my "lord, my Leige" tried to haul some building material? Ya might wanna think that over, again, maybe go down in that mouldy old basement of your and look under the piles and piles of junk to find a real role model, like Alfred E., yeah, he's more your style, betcha wanted to be like him all your life, didn't ja?

And, that Leige/Blondy crap, if he's blonde all I can say is Ms. Clairol must visit real regular at his house. Catskins, head and all, huh, he wouldn't know one if it took a piss on his oven, puked on his rug, and laid a dead mouse on his pillow! But, of course, he lives in Colorado, so everything he says and does is purrfect....has to be, he's one of the privileged, the few, the Beautiful People!!!

Oh and ya can't listen to anything Sorchy Why-Oh-Why says...she plays too much with her herb garden, if ya know what I mean?!

Bill D., once again you have shown your utter lack of good sense and taste in choosing such a miserable roll model. This is just typical Bill though.....The only guy who has two extra 13 gig hard drives loaded with bookmarks like this and this??? Geeziz, what is that anyway???

Bill has an outstanding knowledge of woods, Pogo, autoharps, and philosophy.......none of which will get you a cup of coffee at White Castle! He wasted additional time researching the philosopher Alfred North Whitehead, who is known to be three morals short of a paradigm and who's name sounds like a butler, a direction, and a skin problem. I saw a recent picture of Bill all dressed up with Rita at his side. She looked great but Bill was showing his age and his suit was too.

Bill's knowledge of trad music is to generally admired...... by the 3 people who actually know any of the songs he does! The man also knows the Latin names and all the characteristics of almost any wood....except his own woody ... which he hasn't had since September 29, 1981 and that was a result of seeing a yak humping a reindeer. And get a haircut.

Dear Mudcatters,
Hearing all the noise from this thread and it's predecessor, I thought I'd poke my head into the cafe just to say that I respect each of you, have learned a ton while I've been here and it hurts me to see such discord.
Each one of you is valuable and worthy of love and respect, and I would not deign to flame anybody, e'en had I two 50 gallon drums of kerosene and a truckload of mandolins and Chief O'Neill's original manuscripts to fuel the fire.

Nor even had I a tower of accordians and banjos and hammer dulcimers and an explosive incendiary device with which to ignite it, would I allow the hot tongues of that conflagration to threaten this treasured community so long in the making.
The heat, even, from a didjereedoo packed full of matchheads and gasoline, I would endeavour to subdue lest it so much as singe the ear-whiskers of one of this village. I won't even begin to describe the sacrifice I'd be willing to make to ensure that not one of you is injured from the heat of a burning pile of highland pipes and their mellifluous cousins, the small-pipes.
Safe too, will you all be should I encounter a bonfire of fiddles and abc files anywhere near your vicinity.
Long may your frets buzz,

Bardford

And you, WYSITROPS (What You See Is The Result of Plastic Surgery), what is this lame-ass sub-flaming sh*t you're posting? "Screw you"? Oh please. I've met ice cubes that had more flame than you.

Ooooh, Troll, "a few barfs." A FEW BARFS? You're not even worth discussing.

Oh, and Spaw, what a rock-em, sock-em flamer you are, with the worst insult I've ever read, "utter lack of good sense." Puh-leeze.

You guys aren't flamers, you're fucking Victorian ladies with lace gloves on, for crying out loud! "Oh, Mabel, your cunt is dryer than a ... a ... a desert! One without rain! Like the Sahara! Titter titter!" "Oh Maxine, you naughty little girl! Hee hee hee!"

Unfortunately he didn't know better than to use it as mascara, but you can't have everything in a man whose idea of a good time is sniffing wallpaper paste while masturbating to "Only the Good Die Young." Allowances must be made.

But YOU GUYS are like five-year-old kids who just learned a new dirty word but are afraid to say it.

COME ON, I WANT TO SEE SOME FLAMING HERE!

With apologies to anybody whose feelings I've hurt,
Alex

Oh alright.

Oh for a thousand tongues to speak the truth about this man.
In truth, so help me:
At his birth, Satan and Beelzebub and the myriad fallen angels took refuge in Heaven with their deepest enemy, the Lord God Himself, so frightened were they by his evil nature;
At his birth, the doctor and nurses who delivered him were themselves delivered up to the hangman for crimes against humankind;
At his birth, his mother witnessed that she had been inseminated by a leprous botched crow, laid her hand upon her womb and cursed womankind as the crawlhole out of which crawled suppuration and doom; his father went mad, and tore his member off and beat himself with it until he was senseless; his brothers and sisters had their bodies drained of blood and replaced with the blood of others so that they could be absolved of being his kin and kind;
At his first step, the earth cringed, and deserts opened in his path, flowers withered, the moon turned its mottled back, and the sun wept so loudly that the hissing of the tears as they struck the surface could be heard throughout universes;
Such is his evil, that when he spoke a word, the thing of which he spoke was erased from the language, and disappeared from the world forever;
Such is his evil, that upon seeing him, many have renounced their common humanity, and returned to the beasts, howling;
Such is his evil, that should he be spread with the blackest pitch, the pitch would appear to be of the glorious whiteness of the robes of saints and maidens;
Such is his evil, that in the earthquake and flood and plague and charnelhouse, the suffering laugh and rejoice and dance that he is not there;
Such is his evil, that the peoples of the world together hired a small blind boy whose nostrils have been removed to walk in front of him with a bell to warn oncomers, and this warning is even heeded by lepers;
Such is his evil, that even good is rendered evil by being in the same time and space as he is;
Such is his evil, that God has looked upon him, and torn His garments, and cursed Himself, and proclaimed that Everything must Stop so that this Evil may be eradicated, even God Himself for having allowed such evil loose; And HE HAS DONE SO;
and Everything has been obliterated and utterly destroyed eternally, love, truth, worlds, history, life, even the principle of God Himself;
And such is his evil, that he alone survives.

Isn't it about time we tallied up those who have been flamed, so that we can start on the rest? Maybe those who haven't been flamed should just volunteer themselves and get it over with. Rest assured we will find you, and it will go worse with you if you hide.

MAX, you miserable little pissant. I notice that no one has taken you to task so who better than me? I won't go into any scathing details denigrating your cock and balls because you don't have any. Yeah, I said cock and balls because nobody who went to Penn State could possibly understand the word genitalia. You set up this site and brought all these assholes together.....What the fuck were you thinking???? Oh yeah....its the Penn State thing again....no thinking=PennState. I notice you can't keep a girl past a few dates which is hardly surprising for a dickless wonder like yourself. The closest you get to intercourse is the town up the road of the same name and even then you only get to Blue Ball. Give up on the whole white guy blues shit too and just concentrate on your interest in Penis State football and that dago coach. He's the only saving grace in the valley.........but what the fuck is a Nittany anyway? Sounds like lice.

Damn it, Sandy! You and Caroline couldn't just leave well enough alone, could you? When I think of all the strange and obscure little folksongs (Wild Mountain Thyme, for example), and unknown Folksingers (our own Mr"lightnin' fingers" Fielding, for example), that you two have brought to light....well, I'm speechless! Wouldn't the world have been a better place if we let Columbia, Electra, and Gangsta Rap Records provide us with the music they know is best for us? You two really have a lot of goddam nerve.

Fer chrissakes, its as if you have some inside info based on your travels and travails. To hell with you man!!! What an arrogant and humorless old fart!!! Yeah, you got about a thousand puns for every occasion but you've used them all at least five times!!! Get some new material man!!!!! I agree with Peter (god help me - he's Canadian!). Fake anger, especially when it degenerates into four letter words and name calling just isn't worth reading. The perfect flame requires subtle wit and a degree of intelligent malice. Some of you have to try harder.

We are word people and we know the power of words. It also explains why we really can't do this well unless we mean it. And....because of that we are terrible at shutting out the flamers who do appear. We are loyal to our friends and we want our words to comfort them when they are flamed. So..........We just can't shut up can we? Given the opp to nail someone even in jest, we're lousy.

On the other hand, because we do know the power of words exists only if we believe in them, we should be able to totally ignore the flamers because we are self confident people and know the truth about ourselves. (You are an asshole only if you believe it).

In conjunction, these things go a long way in explaining why we don't do the "right" thing with flamers, ignore them. And it also explains why we live with such angst every time we deal with a real flamer.

Okay gang.....we've had a couple hundred posts now and if you haven't taken advantage of getting a flame job on yourself, time's up!!!

And I am such a worthless bag of dross that I just got a little bitty flame in the HELP FORUM! But for the scale of the wrongs I committed, really, it should have been high explosives for the terrible, terrible thing I visited upon the mudcat gods!

Yes! I confess! I did it! I am an idiot of the lowest possible order! How could I have the poor judgment to clutter up the always-extraordinarily-crowded Sacred Help Forum with a matter that could affect all of Mudcat security! FORCING a volunteer to work overtime!

And another help thread asking for unspecified urgent help that was actually an effort to get some precious volunteer assistance removing a stupid phrase I had posted in all innocence but total ignorance that could have ended the current fragile tranquility, here at the Muddcat, maybe for good!

And another one-- what was I thinking-- asking for help to sign the fuck out of this house of mirrors so I could be a godammned worthless Guest like the complete idiot I am! We all know that cookie problems DO NOT BELONG in the Help Forum!

And oh! I forgot! There was also the help I procured for someone on Mac problems that had nada, zilch, zip to do with this sacred site! (I should have remembered, it's all my fault. Everyone knows this is a Windows community!)

I realize now that I should NEVER, EVER go to the Help Forum again! Especially if I misspell an artist's name in a thread, making their work impossible to find! Baaaadddd!

What was I thinking-- trying to repay into the Help Universe an entirely undeserved help I myself had gotten at the hands of some other misguided volunteer!

Yes! It's true! I baited, no wait-- I TROLLED for help and someone actually had the GALL to help me on a non-Mudcat computer problem just a few weeks ago! Yes! Mea culpa! I see now my sin, all too clearly!

Fortunately, and I consider myself privileged to have been corrected so promptly, the complaint department had a spokesperson with the wisdom and perspicacity to complain right back at me even though I was not in fact complaining at all. What a relief-- the respondent was able to READ MY MIND!

Iddinnit GREAT? Some of my best friends assured me the flames were a thing of the past. What a relief to know they ain't! I know we'd all miss them!

~Guess Fucking Who, Duh!
