Greetings Naemanson. In your posting to the 'Best Book' thread I liked the sound of 'Drive Dull Care Away' May I have author/publisher details please? I'd love to read it. Thanks, Burl

Hi Burl,

The book is Drive Dull Care Away - Folksongs From Prince Edward Island as Gathered By Edward D. "Sandy" Ives. Sandy Ives is the author.

It was published by the Institute Of Island Studies Publishing Committee.

The ISBN number is 0-919013-34-1

The address for the Institute Of Island Studies is:

Institute Of Island Studies
Faculty Of Arts
University Of Prince Edward Island
Charlottetown, PEI
Canada C1A4P3
Telephone: 902-566-0956

I bought the book at our local Bookland so know it's out there. Good luck,

Brett

No Rangeroger, that's the one next to the Amoco station. I am sure he means the Texaco. Hey guys. Leave Brett alone!

Brett,

Our very own almost independent Bookland in Brunswick, Maine? I used to work part time at the Bookland in Bath before it got swallowed up. I will check this title out. The book sounds like one I would like to have in my library.

I think Brett knows I am also Sugar Dog. We're good friends. I'd never leave him alone-- unless he told me to buzz off!

Thanks rr.

Nae, now I need the number of the place that has those great hot dogs.

Brett,

I should have asked you about Sandy's book earler this evening, but we got to talking about all sorts of other books I should read. I know if I ask the price you will probably tell me I can't afford it. What's the price on this anthology of song plus CD? I'm on a limited budget right now being out of work.

Burl, you are very welcome. Any time.

Pete, I don't have the book close to hand right now but it is in the $20 to $30 range. I haven't seen it at our Bookland but I'm sure they could order it for you. Also, that store is now very independent. The employees purchased it and are running it themselves. If you get a chance go in and tell Tina and Bertha how much you appreciate their efforts.

Sugar Dog - Buzz off! (Just kidding!)

Sinsull - Thanks for the quick defense! I owe you!
