There's MyBaby.Pic.exe, which sounds like a picture, but is obviously and executable file. There's OnTheFly, which has an attachment that looks like somewhat like an image file - "AnnaKournikova.jpg.vbs" - the "vbs" bit would be a tip-off for me. Here's what I got when I did a search for ".vbs .jpg at the F-Secure site. Their main page is here. I'm sure this doesn't include all the viruses that imitate images. Bottom line is to have a good anti-virus program on your computer, and update it regularly. Also, it's not a good idea to open any attachment without some information to confirm the person you got it from really meant to send it. Even then, it's a good idea to be suspiscious. |
