I know someone who wrote out an arrangement for her chorus 9Songweavers) to sing. They're performing it next month in Concord, NH. I'll see if I can get it from her, but I think I'll wait till after the concert. |

In fact I am listening to his version right now ........ Murray |

No one it seems has the tune's melody in the sheet form. I'll ask my mother (a professional piano player all her life) to listen to my CD and write the music out. She has the ear, naturally, to be able to do that. I just hate to impose on her because she hates country music. When I get it I'll repost so if anyone else needs the music I can send to you. I wish I had the gifted ear. |

02 Oct 02 - 12:34 PM (#795545) Subject: RE: Tune Req: Down to the River to Pray From: GUEST,reggie miles I caught a piece of this on the television and worked up a version of my own. Sawry I don't know how to write music. I just play by ear. I changed the lyrics some as well and came up with what I think is a nice compromise. Good luck with your efforts. |

03 Oct 02 - 04:47 AM (#796016) Subject: RE: Tune Req: Down to the River to Pray From: Nevada Hi Guest. To be honest I dont know much about it. It was written by "The Hooters" but other than that the only band I know that performs it is "The Phil Beer Band", and practicly every other line is "Brother Won't You Walk Away". Luv AAA x |
