Jim,

Could you give us a little more background?
The name of a singer, any more words?
There is a song in Amhrán Mhuighe Seóla called Bí liom bí, but I suspect its not what your looking for.

Hi Brian,

It was sung by Micheal O Domhnaill and Mike Hanley on a record entitled (I think) Celtic Folkweave. It's a fairly jolly, spritely sort of song - I can understand about half the words, but some are just too fast (and poorly articulated) for me to pick up. I am a fairly fluent speaker of Irish, but not a native speaker.

Best wishes,

Jim

I haven't heard it, but I'll ask around. I'll get back to you in a couple of days.

I got a couple hits in a Google search, but no lyrics. the album you mention dates back to 1974. I know Mick Hanley has written some great songs.
