From: Midchuck I know this: (In case any living person with internet access hasn't heard) I now own Jack Lawrence's Collings D2H that he recorded and toured with Doc with from '93 until recently, when he got his Merrill. He put the Collings up for sale on the flatpick list when he found he wasn't playing it anymore since he had the Merrill, and I jumped fastest. I've never played a Merrill. But if owning one causes a person who owns it to neglect playing this Collings, they must represent a previously unattained level of excellence in steel-string acoustic guitars. Because the Collings is making me neglect all my other instruments. Peter. Peter. |
