24 May 01 - 04:00 PM (#469713) Subject: RE: Help: Name Our Band! From: Chicken Charlie If you play Celtic music, you could simply call yourselves "Boston," but I doubt that would play in Scotland. A witty friend of mine once wrote a whole pseudo-Celtic poem which was in fact totally meaningless. I have always remembered the line, "Across the hodg-ed webbings of the geel, cry in the slueg waestrel..." and the sort of chorus: "The toonkas wail, 'Hie-glay, hie-glay.'"

One of the bands I play with is called The "Wyre Pier Band" - Its based in the Fylde area of Lancashire England and the Wyre river runs through it - the river doesn't have a pier (a bit like Wigan)the band name of course could be pronounced as "Why appear band". Mac Inmusik (makes a change fro Mac Intyres (ala Dun Cow)) Good Luck !!!! Pete
