Help: Record Clubs and Why Can't I Get That CD

I have resisted joining records clubs for many years for a variety of reasons but their offers are tempting. 12 cd's for the price of one.

My problem is that the type of songs and records that I like are not necessarily the boffo categories.

I like Folk and Rock.

An example is the Irish Tenors.

I enjoyed their Concerts.

But it appears that none of the big Record Companies offer them for purchase. While they were on PBS and I can buy them for 14.00 dollars or so...

But that is just one good example, when I do find records that I like they sometimes are under some very small label that nobody every heard of except the muscians who try to make a few ducats of silver from their passion and from what I can tell sometimes can make enough money to buy themselves coffee.

If I join Columbia House or BMI can you find some Folk Songs in their lists.

Can anybody give me some suggestions. I'm not cheap but I'm somewhat poor, or at least my relatives keep me that way I feel.

Thanks

Hmmm
did I hear a still, soft voice murmur CAMSCO Music? You won't find record club prices, but you'll get a fair deal and access to a helluva lot of folk music.
