The Badger and I are going to be at Alchester Folk Festival this year and would love to meet other Mudcats to cheer us up whilst we are running the stall - a minigathering? Please come and say 'Hi' (purchase of badges is NOT compulsory!!!)

Hi Tig. I look forward to seeing you. I shall be mumming in the pubs on Friday evening, morris dancing during the day on Saturday and, hopefully, singing both evenings and Saturday lunchtime - probably in the Holly Bush behind the church in the centre of the town, which is having a beer festival. I believe Mudcatter Snuffy will be there too! (I've already got a Mudcatter badge by the way.)

"Come fill up your glasses and let us be merry ... !" Wassail!

Alan

PS Its ALCESTER (near Stratford-upon-Avon in England) not Alchester in case any Mudcatters cannot find it on the map! And its on Friday 22 to Sunday 24 June its website is alcesterfolkfestival.co.uk.

I think this is a perfect oportunity to suggest slogans for badges
"Old Badgers never die, they just get Worn" has already been done

I had one , one year that said "More Redd than Itch" but now the festival has metamorphosed into the surroundings of a beautiful old town where the locals like folkies I can't think of a suitably punchy slogan.
Suggestions welcome
Yes of course I'll be there - especially at the ceilidh.

Why are you down as a guest Theresa or is your computer being silly? PM us with the exact name you want on and we'll bring you a printed Mudcat badge down with us. Anyone else need one?

Get two!

I got two and almost immediately lost one. Imagine my plight if I had only bought one. GB

I got two - one to go on my Morris hat and the other to wear with my civvies. I'll be dancing and mumming with Alanww when not singing or drinking.

Check out the local Shakespeare CAMRA for details of the pubs in Alcester. The Cross Keys hosts a monthly Celtic session, so presumably the musicians will head there, while the Holly Bush will probably be the place for singing (and it has a beer festival).

There are other badges too you know!!So come to the stall and check out the two slightly squiffy but oh so gorgeous women trying to avoid parental or matrimonial contact at least for some of the time - otherwise it will be the badger and his friend the duck wondering where the women have gone so he can offload the twins!!!!!!!

Les from Hull - You've already got the "steenkin Badges" but Don't worry - I'll sell you some more later. Can recommend the Holly Bush beer fest - excellent last year.

The beer in the Holly Bush is spot on. I checked it out tonight - 8 handpumps in the bar, and 20 straight from the cask in the Oak Room + 2 scrumpies.

See you tomorrow, or is it today already? We're performing a mummers' play in the Tree Tuns and the Holly Bush tomorrow night - I'll be the doctor and Alanww is Father Christmas

What a good w/e.
I counted 5 undeclared 'catters over and above the 14 expected.
their secrets are safe
I guess we can't all be extroverts.

I enjoyed eyeballing some of you!
