Tech: Paltalk Pop ups driving me crazy

Forgive me if this has been discussed before and I've missed it, but I am being hounded to death by Paltalk pop ups and it appears that the only way to get rid of them (and keep Paltalk) is to pay them about $10.00 a year. Are others having this problem? I don't want to pay money to get rid of something I didn't ask for in the first place.

I, too, thought about standing on pricipal, but in the end spent the $9 to get rid of them. My blood pressure is down, now.

I downloaded a popup killer that someone posted on the previous threads, and I have to say, it works a treat! Not been badgered by people wanting to sell me anything, read my horoscope, do my blood pressure or take my money away.. and it's free!!

I use it, and I'm pleased. I sometimes get ONE popup that hangs over when I get out of Paltalk and off line, but that's a small price to pay.

Depends if you reckon you're doing _them_ a favour by using programs they've designed, using their servers, etc. If so, then you have a right to complain about their ads. If, however, you reckon they deserve some kind of return on the time invested in the software and the cost of running servers...
