The tune I know (and have played for about 30 years under that name) is the one found near Round Peak and Galaxc and is first cousin to Sally Ann-- as Nancy Sluys once called it" the Surry County national anthem". That help l\place it? I can sing your words to my tune |

If your computer is capable of playing it, it will do it automatically. I'd format it as a link, except I don't know how. Maybe I'll try anyway. click here |

The tune is sung using only the "main notes" and not all the arpeggios-- just like Soldiers Joy-- try that?? (If all else fails write lutrine@hotmail.com, I'll give you my phone # and I'll sing it to you. Where do you live?) |
