The concert, dance and workshop schedule for the Champlain Valley Folk Festival is now available.

You can see it in a frame in the website or go directly to full screen versions for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of you there.

Champlain Valley FF is only once a year, Chicago is always there. I'm staying in Vermont.

Mike,

My favorite workshop at last year's Champlain Valley FF was the songwriters' session that you hosted with Tom Russell, Jesse Winchester, Anne Hills and Steve Gillette.

I see this year that you'll be hosting a songwriters' session this year with Tom Paxton, Bob Franke, Jane Voss, Lou & Peter Berryman and Joel Mabus. Will it be the same format again where you do a mini-interview with each of the songwriters? It was very interesting last year.

Looks like we have a gig of sorts late in the day on Saturday, here in Rutland.

So we'll probably make a day trip for Sunday.

Peter.

Tedham,

Thanks. That songwriters' workshop last year was a lot of fun. There's a photo from it in the Folk Roots/Folk Branches Photo Gallery.

Yes, the format will be the same with this year's batch of great songwriters.

Mike,

Thanks. The photo brought back some nice memories. I recognize some of the other photos as coming from CVFF.

I'll see you next week in Burlington.

We went to Champlain Valley last year for the first time and thought it was the best folk festival we've ever been to. Now, it's just 5 days away and we can't wait.

Tom Paxton and Anne Hills are both favorites of ours so we're thrilled to see that they'll be performing together. We're also eager to hear Sarah Lee Guthrie with Tao Rodriguez-Seeger. We saw both of them with Pete and Arlo at Tanglewood when they were teenagers.

Vermont, here we come!

On this Thursday's edition of Folk Roots/Folk Branches, I'll have music from many of the performers who will be at Champlain Valley.

Please say hi if you're at the festival. In addition to the songwriters' workshop on Saturday, I'll also be hosting the concert stage on Friday.

The five day forecast for Burlington is showing a mix of sun and cloud (hi 83, low 59) for Friday and just sun (high 84, low 62) for Saturday. No prediction yet for Sunday, but Friday and Saturday look great.

Has any Mudcat rallying point been arrived at?

Looks like we'll just make a day trip on Sunday, since we're playing late afternoon Saturday in Rutland.

The Folk Legacy booth, of course! Mudcat central!

Boo! I will miss you! We volunteered there for years, until I found myself doing opera sets that weekend. Now Wavestar always has a performance that weekend. Sigh. I still need to have a party here. The pasture is even reasonably short as the sheep just got off it...

Have FUN!
