Help: Password

I tried to reset my cookie but it asked for a password and I dont know what my password is, I know it's my fault I should have written it down, does anyone know what I should do? If I rejoin as John in Hull, Will I still be able to see the PM sent to john in hull? thanks.john

A PM is short for Personal Message, when you join Mudcat you can send messages to people.

Why should I join?

Won't I get nothing but "spam" if I "join"

Can't I use AOL or HotMail or Juno...for mail?

You can join by clicking on the Membership link in banner. We don't spam your email address or your PMs, or sell or share your information with anyone. If you join, you can post with a consistent Mudcat name, use the Personal Message system and trace (bookmark) threads on your personal page.

ie if you buy your CDs through Mudcat, you pay the same price but Mudcat gets a small cut of the profit.

I've been on Mudcat for several years, and I've NEVER received spam that I had reason to suspect came from my membership at Mudcat.

And a "cookie" is a tiny file that gets stored on your computer, for use by a website. The cookie from Mudcat would be used to tell the Mudcat website that you have a membership already, so that you won't have to enter a password each time.
