"You'll have to be pretty good to top that!" he remarked to Bob Dylan, who was waiting backstage. "What do I have to do?" asked Bob, "...walk out on the stage and fall asleep?" - LH

08 Aug 01 - 12:12 PM (#523542) Subject: RE: BS: Favourte Dylan moment From: Peter T. I suppose his two finest moments were playing "Pawn in their Game" during the trip to the south with Pete Seeger, and his rendition of "Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie". The first in particular was a completely uncharacteristic act of public-spiritedness and he rarely did that kind of thing again. yours, Peter T. |

08 Aug 01 - 01:41 PM (#523646) Subject: RE: BS: Favourte Dylan moment From: Big Tim It's really difficult but I think I'd opt for February 1963 when I first heard "Freewheelin" at the age of 17, I do believe the hairs stood up on the back of my neck, I knew this was somebody special and almost 40 years on I'm even more convinced. There have been many great moments since then, most recently "Things Have Changed". Impossible question really, like trying to pick a favourite Dylan song, changes all the time. |
