26 Aug 01 - 10:44 AM (#535494) Subject: Yo Yo Man (Rick Cunha) From: GUEST,I'm a Stranger Here Meself Long long time ago I can still recall how Rick Cunha used to make me smile With a tune I think he wrote Just a few words I can quote And maybe they'll convey his sense of style ... (That's about enough of that!) I'm looking for the words - and if anyone remembers the tune for the verses that'd be fine too - to Rick Cunha's song "Yo Yo Man" ... The chorus went, Down at the playground, puttin on a show Talkin to the little kids (Listen to my yo yo) (I'm a yo-yo man) RC Cola, Scooter Pie ... Sleepin at the "Y" The (lines in parentheses) seemed to be interchangeable; somewhere in memory I've got them two-tracked, one sung over the other, maybe it was recorded that way? And the "..." stands in for six notes plunked on the guitar. Does anyone else remember this? (Remember more of it than I can?) With kind regards, Stranger Here |

(Just that every now and then the song goes through my head, and asks where I put the rest of its words. I hate having so poor an answer as my current one: "Um ...")

"Well, I'm a little farm boy. I never felt free.
Well, he went where he wanted and he did what he pleased,
Well I left my home and I went out west
I'm a-hitching for a ride where the traveling's free Well, that's it, if you want a cassette, just say. It's 2140 hrs. where I live - time for stress relaxant liquids, namely beer. Wanna go with me for a cold one?
