No luck with search at all........anybody else?

"La Ventana es abierto" in Spanish, which didn't help at all.

Mañana...Dean Martin lyrics..(also done by Patti Page, I think)

The faucet it is dripping and the fence is falling down
My pocket needs some money so I can't go in to town
My brother he ain't working and my sister doesn't care
The car it needs a motor so I can't go anywhere

Mañana
Mañana is soon enough for me

Once I had some money but I gave it to a friend
He said he'd pay me double he was only for a lend
But he said a little later that the horse it was so slow
Why he gave the horse my money is something I don't know

Mañana
Mañana is good enough for me

My brother took his suitcase and he went away to school
My father said he only learned to be a silly fool
My father said that I should learn to make a chili pot
But then I burned the house down the chili was too hot

Mañana
Mañana is soon enough for me

The window it is busted and the rain is coming in
If someone doesn't fix it I'll be soaking to my skin
But if we wait a day or two the rain may go away
And we don't need a window on such a lovely day
Mañana mañana is soon enough for me
Mañana mañana is soon enough for me

I believe Peggy Lee may have been co-writer of the song.

You also left out the second verse:

My mother, she is working, she is working very hard,

But every time she looks for me, I'm sleeping in the yard.

My mother says I'm lazy, and maybe she is right.

I'll go to work mañana, but I gotta sleep tonight.

Mañana, mañana, mañana is soon enough for me.

MAÑANA recorded by Peggy Lee, 1948

The faucet she is dripping & the fence is falling down,
My pocket needs some money, so I can't go into town;
My brother isn't working and my sister doesn't care;
My car, it needs a motor, so I can't go anywhere.

Mañana, mañana, mañana is soon enough for me. (Repeat.)

My mother, she is working, she is working very hard,
But every time she looks for me, I'm sleeping in the yard;
My mother says I'm lazy, and maybe she is right;
I'll go to work mañana, but I gotta sleep tonight.

Mañana, mañana, mañana is soon enough for me. (Repeat.)

Once I had some money, but I gave it to my friend.
He said he'd bring it back to me, that it was just a lend.
Next day he came & told me that the horse, it was too slow.
Why he gave that horse my money is something I don't know.

Mañana, mañana, mañana is soon enough for me. (Repeat.)

My brother took my suitcase and he went away to school;
My father said he only learned to be a silly fool.
My father said that I should learn to make a chili pot
But then I burned the house down the chili was too hot!

Mañana, mañana, mañana is soon enough for me.

The window, she is broken & the rain is pouring in.
If someone doesn't fix it, I'll be soaking to my skin.
But if we wait a day or two, the rain may go away,
And we don't need a window on such a sunny day!

Mañana, mañana, mañana is soon enough for me. (Repeat.)

Peggy Lee and her then husband, Dave Barbour wrote "Mañana" in 1947. I don't know who contributed what to the music v. lyrics, but Barbour was a jazz banjoist and guitarist and had worked as a studio musician and ensemble player (e.g, with Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, etc.) during the 1930s, so I suspect if there was music/lyrics division of labor Barbour probably contributed more to the former.   Johnny Mercer put them to work as a songwriting team in the early 1940s soon after they married, and they wrote several hit songs recorded by Peggy and others.

I use this song (usually without the "hot chili" verse and without trying to imitate a Mexican accent) as a tribute to "mother" (who is working harder than anyone else) and to procrastinators everywhere. (The last verse conjures up my own experiences with a leaky roof a few years back.)

When I was in South Arabia I learned the Arabic word 'Bahden' (Dont ask about spelling) which is a LOT Like the Spanish Manana , but without the same sense of urgency .
