My birthday is tomorrow

17 Sep 01 - 08:28 AM (#552132)
Subject: My birthday is tomorrow
From: Whistleworks

Recently, I have noticed that several folks here have announced their birthdays and got a bunch of nice replies. Tomorrow is my turn. In addition to the terrible news of this last week, I had gone through some extremely tough times this past week myself, and so I could use a bottle of that "Mudcat Support" that this site is so famous for. I haven't played a note on my whistles in over a month. Anyway, I hit 52 tomorrow.

Bob, go play Dunmore Lasses!

The muse calls you today, but
You may have to whistle her up tomorrow
Call her out of hiding
With an honest tune of joy or of sorrow.
For life is like a furze-field
Full of flowers, also briar and thistles
And if leave your muse to hide
Please give me all your Copeland whistles!
;-)

Happy Birthday, Bob.
My wish for you is that you can look beyond the trials and tribulations of now and see those things that give you joy and are always there.

Jeri, formerly of Dover, DE

Party yer brains out, Bob. I will be 53 on Thursday. (Else where I have written about all us virgos being born appx. 9 months after winter holidays. Some pooh-pooh this notion; this thread bears me out.)

I usually start a virtual women's sing here for my birthday, nice men invited of course, but I will be gone to yet another job interview. Not the best time to proceed with relocating ...

What equinox events may be happening in or around Seattle on Friday?

TIA, MAG

Right then............

Lessee here......We have Whistleworks, Jeepster, Amos, DB, Jack, and mag...............Is that it? Anyone else we missed/haven't gotten to, whatever? Okay........

Carrying on with my mission to support Joe Offer in his quest to slow down some of these type of threads since Joe says they all say the same thing, post after post.....Let me be sure that all the posts are not alike!

To all of you, consider that if you hadn't been born, you wouldn't be here and creating problems for Joe. And if your parents hadn't been born, your life would have been musch different. And if your grandparents hadn't been born, they would not have had the chance to begin this tradition of fornication which has resulted in the likes of you.

ahhhh.....There we go.....Betcha' nobody else posted that!!!! To be completely sure that this post mirrors no others.............and I doubt that it does........let me add this special greeting to Whis, DB, Jack, mag, Jeep, and especially Amos:

KISS MY ASS

There...that oughta' do it...COMPLETELY different...Did I do good Joe?

Thank you from the bottom of my low D whistle. And don't take that the wrong way. Heeeeee.

G'day Whistleworks,

A reciprocal happy birthday from the other side of the globe (mine is a couple of years more ...). I might tootle Happy Birthday to Us on one of my better attempts at a low D whistle.

Actually, the quick PVC mockup I did first works better than the carefully made and proportioned later alloy ones ...! I have not yet made any that cause me not to envy your Copelands.

Regard(les)s,

Bob Bolton

G'day again,

I should have responded to Mag' 's remark that:
"Else where I have written about all us virgos being born appx. 9 months after winter holidays"

Of course, down here in the southern hemisphere (in Australia, where it is already the 18th ...) all us 3rd trine Virgos were born 9 months after the Summer Holidays. Fortunately, not all our parents were as pedantic as my younger brother: My niece, born 25 September ... bears the name Holly (and there were a few more Hollys prominent in the birth notices that week)!

Regards,

Bob Bolton

Thanks to everyone who has helped to make this birthday one that will be remembered for a long time. The Mudcatters are a special bunch. They are a bunch of friends that you just haven't met yet.

I am quite impressed.
